'De la musique' is the correct one; 'The music' will be 'la musique' because 'music' is a feminine noun.
'Du' is the same construction as 'de la' but it is only used with masculine nouns.
De + La = De la
De + Le = Du
De + Les = Des

-écouter de la musique , car musique c'est féminin: la musique
-par contre, on dit écouter une chanson (de la chanson: it's not correct)
