talk at high level/ object to lending me ; do they make sense?
I just wanted to know if theses two sentences make sense :
I must talk at high level ( meaning I must use non-basic vocabulary )
And is this correct
"Would you object to lendin g me your book? Instead of "would you object to my borrowing your book? which sounds a little strange to us.
Thanks

Talking about "being strange", they are all extremely strange and unnatural. No native speaker would say anything of the kind..
They would say,
1. I must speak in a sophisticated way. (This does not mean using difficult words or structures.)
2. May I borrow your book please?

2. It is formal. Also, when adding 'ing' to a verb, do not add spaces. You had it right with 'borrowing.'

1. I must speak at 'a' high level.
2. Both of your sentences here are too stiff for spoken English. How about: 'May I borrow your book, please?
