How to build up words in the right way in writing?
I noticed that native writers sometimes build up or form a word to make their meanings clear.
For example, '...inner-directedness will infuse you with both exhilaration and peace. ...'
It's easy to understand what is 'inner-directedness' in the context, but I wish to know how to make this kind of words naturally?
I know that -ness helps to make a noun,-ed a adjective, but obviously I cannot use it everywhere.
Are there any rules helps building up this kind of words which cannot find in dictionary?
Thanks. One more example, word like 'adventuresome'. How can I know the adjective of adventure would be adventuresome, not 'adventured', 'adventuring' or something else. These details can't be found in dictionaries.
Thanks.
