What does get over mean?
When someone says you will get over sth, does it mean you will overcome sth?
when someone says you will get over somebody, What does it mean? Does it mean you will forget somebody?

Hi May,
The expression 'to get over someone' is usually used in a romantic context, when someone has feelings for someone who does not care about them or does not want to be with them. It means a time will come when the pain we feel in this situation has died away and we feel as if we have healed psychologically and can move on with our lives.
Of course, you can also get over a wall, or a hedge, or any other similar type of obstacle. In the UK, you can say to people 'get over yourself', which means 'stop thinking you're so wonderful, so great, when you're not.'
That's probably more information than you wanted!
