"tie" and "draw" are better used when there is an objective (measurable) result as opposed to a subjective result (opinion).  A word that could be used to fill in your blank is "wash".  This is an idiomatic expression that is commonly used in exactly the situation that you have described.

Hola Victoria! Tie y draw son básicamente lo mismo pero solo se usan en contexto de competencia (aunque no necesariamente tiene que ser de deporte). Si te querés referír a la calidad y cualidades de algún artista, no tendría mucho sentido usar tie o draw; a menos que en tu ejemplo sea basado en algo como una competencia de canto y baile. Pero si no, basta con decir "They're just as good, just as talented, etc"
