I had a friend who called me babe but generally in Australia we just use a shortened version of their names. For example Jennifer would be Jen or Jenny. Sometimes it is up to the person. Some girls just naturally get away with calling people honey or sweetie (for example) and it's completely natural but this normally comes from a very confident person or it can end up sounding really strange.

Or "girl".

Girls can also call eachother “dude”. I’d say thats most common of the names ive heard.
