the verb, 'face' Do you say 'face a problem'? I know it's possible to say 'Problem faces me. (or I was faced with a problem.) ' If possible, what is the distinction between the two? Thanks in advance.

It's possible to use them both but the one where 'problems face you' is more figurative. In a general sense, problems, can't move to confront you. 'I'm facing many problems' is more common and less figurative. You, as the subject, are moving and directing yourself to solve the problem. Hope that helps, Andrew
