Can I replace "during the course of ..." with "over the course of .." ? Hi friends, Can I replace the phrase "during the course of ......." with "over the course of .........."? In my opinion, if there will be only a single contact, "over" in the first one is a bit lazy and a bit unnatural though the meaning is clear. A single contact happens "during" or "in" a period, not "over" or "throughout" a period.
