In formal contexts, this is the form used. “The space which image taking could be part of would constitute...” is informal; this way is used in spoken English. "The club of which I am a member" sounds more elegant than "The club that I'm a member of" The English grammar frowns on prepositions at the end of sentences, though there are cases where it can't be helped. So it's essentially a question of register and formality.
