Las dos ("t" y "d") son consonantes dentales, la punta de la lengua se apoya en la parte posterior de los dientes.
La principal diferencia entre las dos es que la "d" es sonora y la "t" es sorda: las cuerdas vocales vibran cuando se pronuncia la "d"; pero cuando se pronuncia la "t", no.
