"Я тоже" is used in nominative case. E.g. "Я люблю яблоки" -- "Я тоже" (I like apples -- I like them too) "Мне тоже" is in dative case. "Он прислал мне сообщение" -- "Мне тоже" ("He has sent me a message" -- "me too"). Мне тоже = сделай это для меня тоже
