Which one is correct?
Is it correct to say:
1- “then it turns out that she was saying...”
Or
2- “then it turned out that she was saying...”

Either. In the first instance you are using the present simple, the concept behind this is "describing what happens in a book, film, play, story or telling a joke or something that happened even though it relates to past time. In the second instance you are using the past simple to describe something that happened in past time.
