Who invited Sandra to the party? Or Who did Sandra invite to the party?
I passed a test and I needed to choose between
Who invited Sandra to the party?
and
Who did Sandra invite to the party?
I thought it was both correct but with different meanings.
Please, explain to me
how I can ask who was the person who invited Sandra to the party?
A) Who invited Sandra to the party? - Sandra was the one who was invited
B) Who did Sandra invite to the party? - Sandra is the one who is inviting somebody else
So to find out who was the person who invited sandra, you would choose A
