how to say to the driver when I hail the wrong bus?
The other day, I was waiting for the bus at bus stop, and then I saw the bus coming in my way, so I hailed the bus. when it pulled in, I realized that it was not the bus I was waiting for. But I was too embarrassed, and for a moment I did not know what to say to the bus driver, because he said to me, " G'day mate, hop on." So I got on the bus, and sat on the seat behind the driver. I guess you are living in Australia. I'm not Australian but I would say, "Oh, sorry. I think this is the wrong bus. I made a mistake. Sorry." Then I would smile and walk away. I'm British so I would be quite apologetic like that.
