They do not mean the same thing. I think you should check an English-Chinese dictionary for Chinese translations.
They both represent parts of the body just below the waist.
"Hip" is a plain word; it's neither formal nor informal. The hips are the bones on each side just below the waist. The hips spread out on both sides. A body is wider at the hips than it is at the waist. Women have wider hips than men.
The bones of the legs join the body at the hips. There is a ball-and-socket joint where they meet. Sometimes the word "hip" refers to part of the leg bone, the "ball" of the ball-and-socket joint. When we hear that someone has "broken their hip" or "had a hip replacement," it actually refers to that part of the leg bone.
"Bottom" is a strange word. It is informal. The straightforward word is "buttocks." The buttocks are the two fleshy parts that we sit on. In the United States, "bottom" is a sort of euphemism, a way to avoid saying "buttocks." However, I think that in the UK "bottom" is actually impolite, but I'm not sure. In everyday speech in the US, it is more common nowadays to say "butt." "Butt" is informal, but isn't a "bad word."
The anatomical name of the muscle that forms each of the buttocks is the "gluteus maximum," and athletes and bodybuilders call them by the nickname "glutes."
Thus, your "hips" are on either side of you, left and right, and your "bottom" or "buttocks" or "butt" is behind you.
Women usually have larger buttocks than men do, just as they usually have wider hips than men do. As a result, the hips and buttocks are thought to be "sexy."

hi the hip is at the top of the leg and to the side. The bottom is at the top of the legs and to the rear. The bottom is what you sit on. Hope this helps
