Is it wrong to use “had” in this sentence?
“The Puritans, differently from the Pilgrims, HAD their ideals REVERBERATE down the centuries”
No, the use of "had" is correct here and follows the structure "have someone do something." "Had" in the sentence is simply the past tense of have.
However, "differently from" should be changed to "different from."
