Are my sentences correct?Did I use the words''relation",relative","bond",connection"? correctly?
She has a distant relation with my mother
The relationship between my brother and my sister is getting worse day by day
They have been having a really close bond since they studied at the university

She is a distant relation of his mother. (She is a relative of his mother - one without a common name like sister or cousin.)
They have had a really close bond since they met at university.
My brother has connections in the US. (maybe friends, business associates, relatives, distant relations etc.)

1. Agree that the first sentence should be "relationship" 
2. "Have been having" is not incorrect Englsh, but it sounds a bit odd in this context. I would say they "developed"  a close relationship
3. In the last sentence delete "a". Should be "My brother has American Connections."

Hi. They're mostly good. The first one "She has a distant relation with my mother" doesn't work. "relationship" would be more appropriate.
