Salut !  Je suis étudiante aussi mais je dirais plutôt:

Je peux comprendre un peu de français. Je trouve étudier le français intéressante parce que pour moi c'est génial de connaître une autre langue. Je connais beaucoup de mots en français et j'ai hâte d'apprendre.

In English, you need a noun or verb following « keen». For example, I am a keen student or I am keen to learn French, but « I am keen » doesn’t make sense. ;)
