Sentences with general and homogeneous words.
What is the punctuation in sentences with general and homogeneous words.
In Russian the scheme is that (G - general word, h - homogeneous words)
... G: h, h, h, h...
... h, h, h, h - G...
... G: h, h, h, h - G.
Is the scheme in English the same? For example, is the punctuation in the next sentences correct
1) I like different kinds of berries: strawberries, blueberries, blackberries.
2) Wardrobes, tables, chairs, sofas - all the furniture must be brown.
3) I love beauties of the nature: rivers, forests, fields, fresh air - all these make me enjoyed.
Thanks, in advance!

Hello!
I agree with the way that Parker has worded #3 but it could also be worded as follows "I love beautiful things in nature: rivers, forests, fields, fresh air - all these things fill me with a sense of enjoyment".
I would say that your punctuation is correct - this is why:
In 1 the ";" tells the reader that the next part of the sentence (the words) has something to do with, or is saying something more about, the previous part of the sentence - he likes berries in general but the particular berries mentioned are the ones he likes that are part of this category of fruits.
In 2 the "-" is also telling the reader that the second part of the sentence is describing the first part of the sentence - that all the items of furniture listed must be brown.
In 3 the ";" shows that the things listed after it are parts of what was said before ";", and the "-" shows that the feeling described after "-" is as a result of what is said before "-".
I hope that helps!
