We usually say 借りる+て is "借りて" . It is pronounced "かりて". 借って is not right. 借りて consists of 借りる and て. 借りる means "borrow", and て means "and". For example,　私は図書館で本を借りて，自宅で過ごした。means I borrowed books in the library and stayed home.

借りる(KARI/RU) belongs to Group 2. When you conjugate Group 2 verb, you should drop off "RU" part and put 「て」「ない」「ます」etc. 借りて→借りて　借りない　借ります　借りたい　借りよう
