Hello! I think that "I was just busting your clangers" is the same as "I was just busting your balls" and "I was just busting your chops". They all mean this: To give someone/friends a hard time. or To make fun of or tease someone/friends for some reason, in a friendly manner. So to use the words "clangers" and "balls" might be offensive to some as these words refer to a man's private parts. So to use "chops" would be more socially acceptable. I hope that helps!
