I know how to say ”日本語がほしです。”　but how can I say ”日本語のわかるがほしです”？ is it right ?

「日本語をわかるようになりたいんです・日本語ではっきり話せるようになりたいと思います・日本語を理解できるようになりたいんですが」These kinds of phrases are a good start I think :)
