Who wants to chase a headache
Has just to drink good
Has only to maintain the full table
Of saussage and ham
Water does nothing but rot the lungs
Taste, taste, taste mate
Empty us this glass and we will fullfill

A very good translation Corina , the archaic wording is very well chosen for the context as well :)
This regardless from the context ,because water is indeed very healthy, while too much drinking and eating are quite the opposite . ;)

Whoever want to chase a headache
Has only to drink well
And keep the table laden
with sausages and ham
Water does nothing but rot the lungs
Taste taste taste my friend
Empty this glass and we will refill it
I've tried to keep it so it sounds natural and so I have changed some of the language as it didn't sound right. It sounds like an old song but the word 'mate' in English is quite modern and so I have changed this to the more archaic sounding, 'My friend'.
