there are many ways to say hello.
if it`s your first time to meet a chinese.you can say 你好(ni hao).
to greeting a old friends you can say 好啊(hao a)or 嘿,最近怎么样(hi, zui jin zen me yang).
sometime we also say吃了没(chi le mei?)to greeting firiends when meet face to face after eating.
we say “回来了啊?”(hui lai le a?)to greeting people backing home.
we say "最近怎么样"(zui jin zen me yang?)to greeting old friends that long time no see.
wo say"好啊"(hao a)to greeting fiends in msn or qq in the net.
