I don't think it's very clear english. gum = 膠 （厚的）（也可以表示口香糖 － chewing gum） adhesive ＝ 粘合剂 indication = 跡象 " a gum adhesive backing“ is a little strange. i think it means "a gummy adhesive backing" or better: "an adhesive gum backing" gum adhesive backing = 後面有（厚的？）黏合劑 over the area containing the indication: 在跡象的部份(?)上 "forging laps and folds" does not make sense to me. do you have the whole sentence? forging = 鍛件
