what is the different between "go through"and "go across"?i know “go through”is usually used for "go through the bridge or go though a space...and go across is used for "go across the street" but there is a sentence of "go through sixth avenue ".Is that mean pass by?

Go through:
Meaning: Do or complete something you've agreed to
to be approved; to succeed in getting through the approval process.
Example:
- He did promise, but I doubt that he'll GO THROUGH WITH it.
- I sent the board of directors a proposal. I hope it goes through. We all hope that the new law goes through.

go across
Meaning: Move to another side or place
to cross something, such as water, a bridge, land, the ocean, etc
Example:
We went across the ocean in just three hours. How long did it take you to go across?
He WENT ACROSS to the opposition.

I would argue about the bridge. Id rather say to cross the bridge, or to go across the bridge. You can walk through the: forest, window, night. All through the day. Go through many trials (survive many torment or pain). Wander through streets. Wet through totaly wet. There's more of it offcourse.
Imagine avenue as a thick wall. Your on 5th avenue, to get to 7th, you need to go through 6th avenue completely. Its just an example.

Example. I see a ghost going through the wall. Im not sure about across. The super market is across the street. Means on the other side. It may be anything you have to cross: river, bridge, street etc.
