This contributes to making sense of the past, dispelling myths, and generates questions and discussions among the public, which through discussion lead to the understanding of our history."

Disabilities vary and in English it can refer to things other than difficulty with walking.  I'd suggest something like this:  "The first floor is fully accessible, but the upper two floors require using stairs."   That makes it clear WHAT disability you mean.
