A language represents a whole culture. If we let them die, at the same time we allow an ancient culture fade away. So it is our responsibility to keep them alive. Some dramatic examples are Breton language, in western France, and Gaelic Irish. If these languages disappear, all their ancient literature, expressions, history and culture will be forgotten for the rest of time. It would be such a pity after years and centuries of their existence and development.
