Hello, I'm John, originally from New Hampshire, where I spent 11 years before relocating to Texas for several years. Currently, I am pursuing my passion for aviation with the goal of becoming a pilot. Alongside my studies, I have been teaching English online for over 7 years, a role I thoroughly enjoy. As a TESOL-certified instructor, I specialize in helping adult learners achieve conversational fluency and excel in exams like IELTS and TOEFL. I take great satisfaction in meeting new people and supporting them in reaching their language goals. I focus on students A2 level and above. I am a very patient Tutor. I focus on my student's mistakes and correct their mistakes when needed. However every student is different so I am very adaptive and structure each class depending on each student's needs. I believe that constant practice is key for improving. John is by far one of the best teachers on Italki! He helped me prepare for my TOEFL exam, and in just a few months, I went from an average school level in English to being able to speak with confidence.
He is very patient and kind, creating a comfortable atmosphere for speaking. His lessons are always tailored to address your weak points, making every session productive and effective.
Each of his lessons strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and a friendly atmosphere. It's always a pleasure to have classes with him.
