Saki

Since starting lessons with Saki san, I feel much less nervous speaking in Japanese and a lot more willing to try to express my thoughts, even with mistakes.

Today, Saki san and I talked about my job and my upcoming travels. She was genuinely interested in what I had to say and made it comfortable for me to try getting my thoughts out. Even though I make lots of mistakes, Saki san offers such a safe space and is so encouraging.

いつでもさきさんと話したら希望が見える Every time I talk to Saki I feel so hopeful that my Japanese is getting better because of how she gently corrects my Japanese while making me feel empowered to continue speaking and improving.

I'm very grateful for Saki san and my classes with her. My primary goal is speaking practice and Saki san is just so incredibly patient with me, even as I am clumsily bumbling my way through a sentence. I really appreciate her warmth, kindness, and ability to take everything in stride when I interject with a random question or bail partway through something I'm saying. I look forward to continuing my speaking skills with her support. Thank you, Saki san!

It was another great session with Saki san. We talked about New Year's celebrations and I was able to practice asking questions. I have a lot of questions about vocabulary, grammar, and what's the most natural way to say certain things, and Saki san is always so patient with me. She takes the time to explain grammar points I don't understand and writes out the vocabulary in the chat, which I appreciate. Time flew by and I look forward to my next session!
