Lise

I took Lise’s Chinese literature class. She was well prepared with slides and included pinyin and English meaning when I didn’t understand something. She was very patient and encouraging as I tried to read and discuss the poem we learned. This is such a fun way to learn Chinese, I highly recommend trying it! Also, she spoke clearly in a way that I could understand. Will definitely be taking more classes with her.

Lise teaches me a lot about Classical Chinese and Chinese philosophy (Confucianism, Daoism etc) lately, she has got a profound knowledge in this field, teaches it very well structured and the lessons are very enjoyable. It is really exciting to learn about the old Chinese culture by actual old texts. So if you are also interested in this particular field, Lise is definitely a very good teacher for you!

I have been studying Chinese with Lise for a month now. I highly recommend her to anybody interested in Mandarin and Chinese culture. Her lessons are always very organized and interesting. I really feel that I am making progress with her.
