I am a generalist as opposed to being a specialist. I enjoy DIY and designing systems, social and physical, that provide better outcomes. I am a people and community person at heart and enjoy new people and places. I have been licensed as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, worked for 5 years in aviation and ran my own trading company for 8 years. I listen to my students to see where they are in their language acquisition. I use whatever is necessary to help; songs, pictures, examples, movies, conversations to assist with grammar, vocabulary, accents, idioms, news articles, books. I have worked with prepared material culled from newspaper articles like BBC, Guardian newspaper, CNN etc. I have worked with pictures and descriptions which allow sentence structures to develop as well as adding vocabulary words to help.
Structured conversations as we exchange details of daily activities allow for a natural development of language skills.
