English and Arabic teacher. I lived in both Damascus and the countryside. While in school, I had friends from all over the Middle East. I hold a bachelor's degree in translation, specializing in Arabic-English and vice versa, as well as a master's degree in interpreting from Damascus University. Additionally, I possess a TESOL certificate from Arizona State University. I am fluent in Arabic (Levantine), Modern Standard Arabic, and English. Currently, I work as a translator and teacher. Making students love learning is my passion. I not only teach English and Arabic, but I also empower them with the skills to learn on their own and guide them to the right resources to continue improving their linguistic abilities in both languages. My teaching approach enables students to begin speaking the language they desire to learn rapidly. I provide constructive feedback in a friendly manner and motivate them to persist. My lessons are typically replete with examples and enjoyable anecdotes, even when the topic is Arabic grammar in all its complexity.

I really enjoyed my first lesson with Dua! She understood my motivation for learning the language and came up with an excellent plan of study. I learned so much in the first lesson and it really built my confidence. She makes Arabic easy and approachable and I look forward to continuing my studies with her!
