Hello, I'm Jon! I'm an English teacher and project manager with a passion for travel, learning, and connecting with people around the world. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing guitar, working out, and reading. One of my personal goals is to visit a new country every year, and I’m always excited to learn about different cultures, especially from students. I’m currently learning Portuguese, so if you’re a Portuguese speaker (bem-vindo!), I’d love to exchange a bit of language and culture with you! I’d love to hear more about you, your country, and what brings you to English learning. Let’s work together to reach your goals and make our lessons both productive and enjoyable. I’m a relaxed, fun, and patient tutor who focuses on your goals. Together, we’ll create lessons specific to your needs, interests, and learning style. As a project manager, I bring organization, structure, and clear planning to every lesson, helping you progress efficiently. I also served 5 years in the U.S. Navy as a submarine sailor, traveling the world, meeting diverse cultures, and learning how to communicate effectively. I use these experiences to create a supportive, encouraging, and culturally aware classroom. In my lessons, I help to improve your speaking, listening, grammar, and pronunciation through clear guidance and natural conversation.
