Cambridge Certified ENGLISH and SCIENCE Teacher, children and adults. Cambridge, UK. I'm English, live in England, and teach ENGLISH in Cambridge and online. I teach BIOLOGY and CHEMISTRY online too (I used to teach in schools in the UK - before I retired). NOT TAKING NEW STUDENTS SO PROFILE NOT ON DISPLAY ON iTALKI Travelling is something I do quite a lot of these days. And learning new things: I learnt to fly a plane, I'm having a go at painting and drawing, and I'm reading a lot of history books. My other hobby is English grammar. I really like grammar! There is always more to learn! Please note> 24 HOURS' NOTICE needed for cancellation REFUND of fee. Here in England I taught in both primary and secondary schools (so age 5 to age 18), and now I teach online. My certificates and qualifications are online and uploaded for you to see. As well as English, I also tutor in biology and chemistry, and general junior science (and a little maths). Started teaching ENGLISH in 2010. I've been on italki since 2013. I suppose teaching English has become a hobby - I learn a lot by teaching it! My youngest student is 5 years old. My oldest is the same age as me (OLD!!!!). Please note > 24 HOURS' NOTICE needed for CANCELLATION and REFUND of fee. Conversation classes: we can DISCUSS the grammar and vocabulary as we talk! If you prefer, we can work from a COURSE BOOK. This is methodical, and works well too! For the CHILDREN there are games and songs, quizzes and rhymes. We have great fun! (Well, I do!) And I hope the adults want to do some games and quizzes too....

Moira works on my pronunciation like a sculptress: "speak quicker", "slower", "harder", "softer", "in the rhythm", "forget the rhythm", "pronounce everything", "contract the most you can....". In between, little grammar and vocabulary breaks. Fascinating and fun, I love it! I hope I will one day speak with an RP accent. Thank you Moira!
