I like to think that I’m one of the lucky people that have been chosen by their vocation, not the other way around. I was born in Belgium to Spanish parents, so I had to develop the ability to switch between French and Spanish smoothly from a very young age and became aware of the benefits of polyglotism in both my personal and academic life.
I also had the opportunity to experience life as a nomad, living in France, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines. During those years, I discovered how mastering multiple languages improves perception, listening and social skills, breaking down cultural barriers.Ja jako nauczyciel
I first had the opportunity to teach in the Philippines. After that, I worked as a teacher and a DELF/DALF and DELE examiner in several institutions and perfected my skills through accredited courses for French and Spanish teachers. I strongly believe there’s always room for growth and improvement; therefore, I constantly seek to become better at what I do. To me, a great teacher never stops being a student.
My goal is to connect with my students on a deeper level and show them how wonderful and enlightening it is to be able to speak multiple languages. I believe that using a variety of teaching materials and methods make it more enjoyable for students to learn a language. Books, videos, audios, texts, songs, games, Power Point presentations and news articles are some of the materials I use during my classes.
My classes are focused on the students’ needs. Moreover, I make my students speak and practice as much as possible so that they get the most of their online learning experience. I believe in the power of immersion-based methods; even if you’re not ready to book a one-way ticket to a Spanish or French-speaking country (yet), we can replicate the conditions online.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

I have had classes now in French and Spanish with Isabel and both are of exact same quality .... I never feel stressed or stupid in her classes, instead the time flies and by the end I’m in a great mood knowing I’m making real progress which ever language we do.

I take French and Spanish with Isabel and all my classes are really great. Isabel is truly impressive. Today was especially helpful because she showed me a useful way to sense the difference between the French /ou/ and /u/ which I have been struggling with. Merci, Isabel!

Isabel is kind, patient and encouraging, a truly lovely person.
She is very professional, timely and thorough. Her intelligence and creativity are evident as she designs lessons and homework that are fun, provides detailed feedback on homework, and deftly adapts lessons to include projects or questions that I bring to class.
