I always enjoy the free form conversation, it’s good practice and I get experience speaking about many different topics. Maki always does a great job explaining a new word or grammar point. I definitely feel progress with my Japanese since taking lessons.

日本語： マキさんと会話して、とても明るい人だと分かってきました。話の流れは強制されたとはまったく感じませんでしたし、新しい友達を作ったような気がしました。言葉が分からなかった時は、英語で質問を問いかけて、マキさんが説明してくれたから、問題ありませんでしたし、考える時間が必要だった時も優しく与えてくれました。次回も楽しみにまっています！ English: The first conversation I had with Maki made me realize that she's a cheerful person and she feels approachable. This made the conversation flow quite naturally and, even if at times I couldn't express myself due to a lack of words or needed more time to think, she either helped me with explanations or allowed me to take as much time as required. I'm looking forward to talking again with her.

I've been taking まきさんfor over 6 months now and always enjoy the learning environment she provides by making me speak lots and lots. she takes an interest in you and asks questions to make sure you practice output and grammar. would recommend for anyone looking for a kind and friendly teacher to help you improve in conversation.

Great first lesson with Maki-Sensei. She was in time, very easy to speak to and always maintained a good balance between correcting my mistakes while allowing for the conversation not being interrupted. Also great follow-up after the lesson!

always find conversation with maki fluid and fun. Talk about many different topics, and on a level I can understand. definitely would recommend taking a lesson!
