Hello my name is Efthymia, currently living in Thessaloniki, Greece, where i have been working for 5 years as a greek language teacher. Both my bachelor and master degrees are related to education and additionally i’m specialized certified in teaching greek as a second/foreign language. I have voluntarily and professionally taught greek in both formal and informal environments. I have teached refugees and migrants, adults and children while working in an NGO for two years. I aim to make my lessons both enjoyable and effective. It's important to me that the students feel comfortable expressing themselves and that they are part of a supportive classroom environment. I use a blended approach to teaching, with a strong emphasis on the communicative method. This means we work with authentic materials—such as signs, instructions, articles, and advertisements—and focus on producing language that is practical and relevant to real-life situations. I recommend following a textbook to ensure a structured and consistent learning experience, while also providing additional resources from various sources, including my own materials.
