I’m Lana, a linguist, traveler, and teacher with 19+ years of experience helping adults speak English and Russian. Over the years, I’ve lived between countries, cultures, airports, languages, and very different ways of life, so I understand how deeply language can shape confidence, relationships, work, and your sense of belonging in the world. I also taught at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, where I worked with students from diverse backgrounds. I mainly work with digital nomads, IT freelancers, travelers, and internationally minded people who want to communicate more naturally and confidently for work, relationships, travel, creativity, and everyday life. My lessons are relaxed, conversation-focused, and structured. I’m fascinated by neuroscience and how the brain learns languages, so I combine real communication with methods that help people remember, understand, and actually start speaking. A lot of my students come to me after years of studying English, but still feel blocked when they try to talk. Creating a space where people finally relax into the language is probably my favourite part of teaching. I love conversations about art, science, travel, books, human behaviour, and all the strange little things that make us human. Lana is an excellent teacher. She always comes to the lessons on time, in good spirits and with excellent content to learn from. She pushes me to challenge myself and is very patient. My Russian has improved dramatically in a short time because of Lana. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to improve their language skills.

Lana is such a great language instructor! She’s fun, very responsible, and knows how to keep her students motivated. She also understands the difficulty of learning a new language, and I was never afraid to ask questions in her class. I highly recommend Lana to any Russian learners!!
