Kat (was Josh)

Another great lesson as always. I can notice how much my accent has improved since I started about five months ago.

Today I had Lesson 8 with Kat. She gave me many helpful techniques for moving my jaw and feeling the different parts and pieces of American mouth posture. The more I study it, the more fascinated and passionate I become about American mouth posture and pronunciation. I’ll continue studying with Kat and keep practicing until I sound more like a native American speaker. I know some people wonder why I want to sound American. Yes, that’s true — some people only want to speak English fluently or reduce their accent a little, and they don’t care about sounding like a native speaker. But for me, I genuinely enjoy studying and practicing mouth posture. The most important thing is also Kat’s personality. She is very patient, passionate, supportive, and dedicated to helping her students improve, and that motivates me even more to keep practicing and learning. I'm very grateful for your help, Kat.

In Lesson 6 with Kat, she taught many interesting things about mouth posture, which helps me build the habit of speaking more like an American speaker. She also showed me how to use numbers 1 and 2 to practice speaking by myself, and I’m trying to practice every day. Even though I still haven’t done it perfectly yet, I’m continuing to work on it and stay motivated with everything Kat teaches me. There are many things I didn’t fully understand at first, but Kat is always very patient. She explains everything clearly and gives many examples until I completely understand. Kat truly does not care if the time runs out while teaching me , and I feel very grateful and impressed by her dedication. Because of this, I’ve decided that studying three times a week is the right choice for me. I truly feel I’ve found the right teacher. Thank you very much, Kat. I highly recommend studying with Kat if you want to reduce your accent and sound more like an American speaker.

Today I studied Lesson 7 with Kat. She taught me more about the different pieces of mouth posture, and day by day I’m becoming more interested in it and enjoying my lessons with her even more. Kat is very knowledgeable about the way Americans actually speak. Many pronunciation teachers focus mainly on mouth positions for the 44 English sounds, breathing, placement, rhythm, intonation, and reduction, but they still miss an important piece: mouth posture. If you really want to study and practice American pronunciation more deeply and work toward sounding more natural in an American accent, I truly recommend learning with Kat. Her teaching has helped me notice many things that I never understood before. I know I’ve already given many positive reviews about Kat, her teaching style, and her personality, but over time I appreciate her even more. Thank you so much, Kat!

In Lesson 5 with Kat, we continued working on mouth posture and pronunciation. She also explained the difference between mouth posture and English sounds, along with many other things that are very helpful for my journey toward achieving my goals of sounding more like a native speaker and developing a more neutral American accent. She teaches with strong passion and always takes the time to make sure I understand everything clearly. I never feel rushed during the lessons, and she genuinely cares about helping me improve. I can tell that she teaches because she truly cares about me and my progress, not just because of the money or the lesson time. Because of how much I enjoy her teaching style and mouth posture method, I decided to add one more lesson each week instead of just two. I’m honestly hooked on her method because it has helped me notice many pronunciation habits that I never realized before. I also really like Kat’s personality. She’s honest, patient, dedicated to helping me.
