Riska

So far I’ve been working with Riska for a couple of weeks and it’s really changed my thoughts on Bahasa Indonesia and on a deeper level, what language is. Although it’s difficult, I am throughly enjoying our conversations and really looking forward to being able to express myself more fully in this interesting and rich language ! Thank you for being on this journey with me Riska !

I had a great first lesson with Riska! She is very kind, has a fun and laidback approach and was very patient with me and my foreign accent. I even got to meet her cat at the end of the lesson! Thanks Riska, see you again soon :)

This was my first lesson with Riska, and it went very well. We talked about my interest and experience with Indonesian. Riska had me read a beginner-level story to check my understanding. I was able to understand some of the story, but other parts I wasn't sure. Riska proceeded to explain the numbers and days of the week. It was a fun first class and I learned a lot!

Riska is an excellent Sundanese teacher. I highly recommend her for instruction in Indonesian or Sundanese. She is patient, kind, and flexible, and encouraging; even though I’m a total beginner in Sundanese, I feel motivated and confident thanks to her. I learn so much from our lessons, and I love that she goes way above and beyond to create interesting materials for us to review together. Hatur nuhun! 💕

Great lesson with Riska! We worked through lesson 2 in the textbook, and completed it. We learned about numbers, parts of the body and question words. Riska helped me when I struggled with pronunciation. She has a nice sense of humor and her lessons are low-stress!
