Rakeb goes above and beyond every class! I’m so glad I chose to take classes with her because she is so pationate about teaching Amharic. She is the best teacher you could ask for! Amesegenalew Rakeb!!

I just finished my fifth lesson with Rakeb and I feel confident in my ability to navigate basic conversations in Amharic. I wouldn’t have believed that possible a few weeks ago, but with Rakeb’s guidance and encouragement, I feel I’ve made a lot of progress. She is very kind, provides great material and always prepared. I highly recommend her!!

Apart from purely linguistic subtleties, Rakeb helped me to understand what's beneath them, in terms of culture, thus, reinforcing (cementing) previously learned material.

I could not ask for a better teacher. Rakeb knows my goals and will adjust the lessons accordingly. I am leaving for Ethiopia tomorrow.
