I am Shirin.
Ever since I remember I have always been interested in other languages, cultures and lifestyles. As a child I used to turn the radio dial to hear people speaking in other languages and although I couldn't understand a word, I used to try to imitate what they said.
Deep inside I wished: "If only I could understand what they say!”
My desire for learning and teaching is deeply rooted in my personality. I've studied Microbiology, MBA and TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) at university. I'm also into sports like swimming, roller skating, biking, running, and dancing.
I still have more dreams to achieve. :)

I started teaching English around 8 years ago. In recent years I've been teaching both teenagers and adults and I've worked with different books, such as Interchange, Passages, Top Notch, Summit, American English File, and so on.
I have an M.A. in teaching English as a foreign language and an FCE certificate (First Certificate in English) with a grade A.
I'm interested in teaching because it's always been an innate desire for me. I have always been enthusiastic about sharing what I know with other people.

I am here to help students with their communication in Persian or English (or both, if you would like to learn both at the same time). I don't use a fixed plan for all my students. Instead, based on your needs and goals, I will decide on the teaching style and materials as we go! I like the mood of my classes to be natural and smooth, as if we are singing a song together. I try to adapt myself to your requirements. :)

Shirin is a very friendly and competent teacher who adapts to her student's needs and abilities. She explains the things she teaches well and her English is very good. I felt so comfortable in the class and will definitely book more lessons!

I really appreciate working with Shirin to improve my Persian knowledge, reading, listening and speaking. She is very focused and has a great methodology to help students advance in the language. I highly recommend her.
