I am Andrew from Michigan, and have worked and studied in Wales for the past 10 years. I got trained and certified as a Welsh Tutor through the National Centre for Learning Welsh.
In my free time I love to read, meet up with friends; either at the pub or on the beach and also enjoy playing tennis. I'm very passionate about music, history and culture and love to encourage others to learn languages!Ja jako nauczyciel
I believe everyone is capable of learning a language, if you're willing to put in the time and effort. I think it's important, and what's greatly helped me, is to find out what you're interests are and what motivates you to learn. That way it's not a chore but something you look forward to.
Perhaps my strength as a teacher is that I try to find what works best for you and tailor the lesson accordingly.
You can't beat a good course, but making friends in the target language can serve, not only as a motivation to learn, but as a means of connecting said language to its cultural context. I'm a strong proponent of penpals! Moje lekcje & Styl nauczania
I offer my 'Sesiwn Sgwrsio' which is a golden opportunity for you to practise everything you've learned in class or on your own, to ensure lasting learning (where knowledge is retained long-term). In my experience this is where the real learning happens. It's also a chance to have fun and express yourself in the language.
I also offer my 'Welsh Course + Grammar', following the Welsh for Adults curriculum recognised as the standard throughout Wales. This is the official Welsh Government-endorsed course through the Welsh Centre for Learning Welsh, but with my addition of grammar help for those of you who require that as part of your learning.Moje materiały dydaktyczne

Licencjat - Welsh (for Beginners)Along this path, Welsh-medium teaching increases gradually as your skills develop, and special modules are designed to facilitate 'crossing the bridge' from learner to enterprising speaker with a degree in Welsh.
I was the guinea pig on this course as I signed up for it on its year of release. It was indeed an extraordinay endeavor to learn the language to a high enough standard within a year to then face the real challenge of Welsh lectures with 1st language students and Welsh esssays.

Magisterium - Welsh: Language & LiteratureAn exciting opportunity to study various aspects of the language and its literature through the medium of Welsh – from the early heroic poetry of Aneirin to 21st-century literature.
Rather than followiung a typical degree in literature, my thesis was more of a sociological study on the difficulties Welsh learners' face while trying learn the language and how the response by members of the Welsh community can play a key role in learners' success or failure.

Andrew is very patient and passionate about the Welsh language. He enjoys helping me on my journey of trying to piece together the puzzles of this beautiful language in my head. He uses a variety of teaching methods. So glad that I found him!
