This lesson was very productive and a lot of fun. I learned a lot of very funny and unique phrases. During this lesson, we covered a few grammar structures such as 不仅。。。（也，还，而且），从来，刚 vs 刚才。We also covered some new vocabulary such as 即使，感动，爱情，加班。I will be reviewing the material we went over and I look forward to our next lesson! 谢谢老师！

Li Ying was very patient but challenging enough that I can learn at a good rate without frustration missing this or that in the sentences I say. I am in HSK 2, chapter 11 towards the end now. The speed is good for me and I leave it up to her to decide how fast because I feel she would know best how to maximize learning efficiency. In addition to pronunciation of book words, sentences and grammar topics, I am repeating sentences to her in Mandarin after she says them in English. This is done to get practice on the new concepts. We worked on comparisons, both positive and negative. We also discussed new vocabulary words and some other word stress during verbal communication in certain circumstances: for example, hao bu hao, the stress is on the first hao.
