Hello! My name is Barry, I am 25 years old and I am a native English speaker with extensive tutoring experience, born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. I have studied my native language up to a higher level of SCQF level 6 and in addition to this, I am currently in the process of doing my TEFL Level 5 certificate (teaching English as a foreign language).
I am a photography student here in Scotland with a strong passion for travel and I have now visited 40 countries, therefore I am very excited to meet you all, learn about your home country and most importantly, improve your English through relaxed, fun classes!Ja jako nauczyciel
I have over 600 hours of both in person and online teaching experience which I have accumulated over a period of 2 years. I have studied English up to a higher level of SCQF level 6 and in addition to this, I am currently in the process of doing my TEFL Level 5 certificate (teaching English as a foreign language). I’ve been taking 30-minute lessons with my English teacher, and the experience has been excellent. Even with the short class time, he makes every minute truly productive and focuses on exactly what I need to improve.
One of the things I appreciate most is how natural our conversations are. We talk about a bit of everything daily life, culture, personal interests and it feels genuinely effortless, almost like talking to a friend. This makes the learning process much more comfortable and engaging.
His teaching style is clear, patient, and very effective. He corrects my mistakes in a gentle, constructive way, always explaining the reason behind each correction and offering more natural alternatives.
I can really feel my vocabulary, fluency, and confidence improving with every lesson. He adapts the content to my level and goals, and the classes always feel relaxed yet truly beneficial.
I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their English through natural conversation.
