Since July 2017 I have been a community tutor on italki. Tutoring is the most rewarding work I have ever done. In addition to serving as a tutor, I am a freelance writer. Prior to tutoring I worked 23 years as a research and writing paralegal. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with a writing minor and an urban honors certificate. With me, students continually progress into greater English fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar and structure. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and goals, and focus on moving from simple to complex. My lessons are conversation centric. Lessons with me are all about you, the student. For informal lessons, we choose a discussion topic and see where it takes us. During conversations I correct pronunciation, introduce new words and suggest varied sentence patterns.
