⭐ Max ⭐

Max is ones of the best teachers I have haad - he is thorough, attentive, knowledgeable, has a plan for my learning which I found incredible and spot on. He inspires me to learn in a caring and yet rigorous way. He speaks several languages and that also helps. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Max was very prepared. He did an assessment of my children’s abilities in German and their interests and then provided them with lessons and topics tailored to their interests. Great first lesson.

Great!!!! My 11 years old daughter likes him a lot. He is kind and very patient. Hand s on with online exercises, additional material. A bit stricken but my daughter says she appreciates that, even though she he’s very strong will and ability to twist everyone around her finger. He doesn’t buy it 😁 So we have a happy student and a happy parent!!!!

I have taken several trial lessons. This is by far the most thought out plan I have been presented with. This plan is structured and each task was followed up with an explanation as to why I was assigned this task and how this would help me grow. We are not just opening a book and following a curriculam but a learning plan caterd to my needs to grow.

Max is very professional and has creative homework options based on your personal learning style. He is helpful with pronunciation, speaking/listening practice, and homework review. I took one star off for a couple issues: he's not timely in starting classes, a few times he appeared to be attending to other matters on his screen(s) rather than the lessons, and he reviewed very little of the homework (although I tend to be prolific in completing it). In addition, in one lesson, Max started to explain a homework error, but I immediately realized what it was and interrupted to tell him that I understood already. He chastised me for interrupting, telling me it was rude in German culture and that hearing the grammar explanation again could be helpful. Perhaps that's true, but it is rude in American culture to waste someone's time or money. I am paying for these pricey lessons and, if I recognize and understand my error, it is my choice to move on rather than revisit the concept at length.
