Misako-sensei really helps me to assimilate concepts and particularities of the Japanese language. She provides multiple examples and nuances that really helps to integrate them. I highly recommend her.

I've been taking weekly lessons with Misako-sensei and she is honestly one of the best teachers I have met on iTalki! Her strength is in teaching you tons of natural/useful phrases and correcting mistakes (which some teachers may be less comfortable doing since they feel it's impolite). For some reason, her explanations and speaking pace just make things so easy to understand and remember. She also sends the most detailed lesson notes of any teacher I've had, which are super useful for reviewing/recall. If you are serious about accelerating your time to fluency, I recommend learning from Misako-sensei!

I got my first lessons with Misako sensei half a year ago when I needed help to talk to a Japanese friend more fluently while playing a video game together. Her lessons were very helpful and she immediately helped me find expressions that would be useful when talking to my friend. She let me practice casual Japanese freely, and she even knew about the video game I was playing so we could directly practice expressions for it! Half a year later I am practicing travel Japanese with her because I want to visit Japan and my friends there, and again her casual and patient style has been great. My lesson style so far has mostly been "free learning" where I ask questions and propose roleplay situations, and she has been very helpful and supportive of that learning style, I definitely recommend her.

Misako is very patient and supportive of your language learning, I have learned more with my short time under her tutelage than other teachers I have had. Her camera and microphone quality is good, there are no connection issues, she has always been on time and prepared material for the next lesson. She answers questions I have and helps me to learn how to discuss my interests in Japanese preparing me for conversing with others. She has also made several lessons fun and engaging one of which used a topic I was interested in as a means of learning the vocabulary I was studying. As a beginner I heavily recommend Misako sensei if you are just starting out like me, but I have confidence she will be good for all levels.

I’ve taken several lessons with Misako-san, and one of her most impactful traits is her absolute kindness, as well as her astuteness in identifying what you want to express and how to say it most naturally in Japanese. She also takes live notes during your conversations without losing a second of focus on what you’re saying, which is great!

Misako is very, very patient, even though I am often shy and not confident in speaking! She gives space to talk without pressure and corrects mistakes also during the conversation. Lots of feedbacks are given both during the class and after it, which is definitely helpful.
