Mary is an excellent teacher! She always comes prepared and brings a positive atmosphere to every class. For my lessons, we start with about 20 minutes a speaking practice and devote the remaining 40 minutes to structured material on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. She does a great job at providing feedback while also not immediately revealing the answer every time (allowing me figure out some answers on my own). Mary is also very open to feedback from students and adjusts the lesson material as requested. Overall, Mary is one of the best tutors on iTalki and I look forward to taking more lessons with her!

Mary is wonderful! I have been learning Mandarin with her for several years and she is by far one of the best teachers I’ve ever had! She thoughtfully prepares fun, engaging, and practical learning materials that are suitable for multiple learning styles. Not to mention she is very warm and has a great sense of humor.
